How can I create an FTP account for a subdomain?

 Login to the cpanel with your cpanel username and password and cliick the 'FTP ACCOUNTS' and create an ftp user with the same name of the already existing subdomain.

 For example if your sub domain name is test.domainname.com you should create an ftp account with the user 'test'.
